
Pipeline supplying water to Komela and adjoining areas was damaged following landslide in Zaidkhar area three days back.
Locals claim that failure to repair a damaged water supply line has exposed hundreds of villagers of Komela town and adjoining areas to crisis. Residents of the affected areas have threatened protest if the water supply was not restored by Thursday.
The villagers said that the main pipeline that supplies water to Komela and adjoining areas was damaged following landslide in Zaidkhar area three days back. The water supply line that was passing beneath the hillock that fell on the hotel, was damaged resulting in suspension of water supply to the affected areas.
Shams Khan, a resident of Komela, said that locals are forced the locals to fetch water from far-off areas.

Meanwhile, an official at the office of assistant commissioner said that the water supply would be soon restored.
