Qadri is leading a sit-in in Islamabad, which entered its third day, today. Tens of thousands of followers massed near Parliament House, where they were dug in for the long haul with stocks of food and bedding.
During his fiery speech on Tuesday, the MQI chief blamed the incumbent government for the country’s woes.
Security officials estimated the size of the crowd at between 25,000 and 50,000, which would make it the largest political protest in the capital since the government led by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) was elected in 2008.
Police clashed briefly with stone throwers and protesters brandishing sticks on Tuesday, shooting into the air and firing tear gas. Eight officers were injured.
Organisers of the rally accused police of opening fire and of attempting to arrest Qadri and blamed Interior Minister Rehman Malik for issuing directives to do so.
“We will not accept Qadri’s pressure because his demands are unconstitutional,” Malik told local television channels shortly after security forces fired in the air and used tear gas to try and control protesters.

TUQ is a consistent liar and there are evidences to it. He is here on the agenda to destabilize the country. He balantly spoke in english to communicate directly with his masters who had sent him.
He is an un-ashamed liar can be verified by the fact that, even though there were hardly 50-70,000 people in the sit down - he kept on repeating the word "millions" a zillion times.
Wake up people, please dont fall into another trap. The west knows that they can't send another Moin Qureshi, than through NRO of Musharraf - they thrust Zardari - now they have resorted to a new strategy.
Let the democracy take its course, I am like all Pakistanis, am very unhappy with the current set of rulers, but we have to be patient and ensure that we utilize our vote sensibily.

What peace are we talking about? As if we had peace earlier. At-least Dr. Qadri is trying to do something good.
He started his long march for electoral reforms. As soon as he reached Islamabad, he asked the dissolution of Parliament. What kind of sponsored revolution is he going to bring?
Why has PM not been arrested yet? Because PM has to be arrested by Jan 16th according to orders of supreme court, govt should announce a caretaker PM today so that he can form a neutral and not a biased caretaker govt. Otherwise, elections would be rigged again and there is no point in holding rigged elections.

tahir ul Qadri is the biggest threat for his followers. He himself is sitting in a bomb proof container but his followers are sitting outside in winter season. In case of any problem / blast, FIR should be lodged against Tahir ul Qadri.

I hope things don't go out of control now. When PMLN and PPP did long marches for restoration of judges, it disturbed peace and interfered with government matters too.
