Irksome: Call to make bus stops better
These bus stops are used by hundreds daily and yet the authorities seem to be reluctant to renovate or repair them.

The dilapidated and shabby condition of the passenger shelters present at the bus stops in Islamabad is causing undue hardships for the locals.

While talking to APP, Hamza Nasir, a local passenger, said that the people are exposed to extreme cold and downpour while waiting for buses. During rainfall, puddles of stagnant muddy water are formed around the bus stops causing further problems especially for the women, he added.
Though the authorities are paying attention to improving public transport, they need to pay adequate emphasis on improving the conditions of the bus stops as well, he said.
