Jamaat-i-Islami Amir Munawar Hasan said on Tuesday Dr Tahirul Qadri will not succeed in his bid to prevent the inevitable change in the country.
He was addressing the concluding session of a five-day JI workshop at Mansoora. He said the forces opposed to an Islamic revolution in the country wanted to spread disappointment among people but the people could no longer be fooled.
He urged the army chief to give a befitting reply to the allegations leveled by his Indian counterpart. He said the “cowardly silence” of the country’s rulers in response to the Indian aggression at the LoC had caused disappointment among the masses. He said India wanted a war in the region.
He said the JI was not against the US itself, but it was against the anti-Islam and anti-Muslim policies of Washington. He said the hatred against the US was rising. He said the US wanted to destabilise Pakistan through its agents to achieve its unholy goals.
He said the masses condemned the so-called democratic government that ignored democratic values.

This is just a bit of jealousy from the JI, an extremist deobandi organisation. Tahir-ul-qadri represents moderate muslims/pakistani's....hence their frustration...

Prof Munawar is a sensible person. Surprising, how he can object to Dr Qadri's demands which are pure, benign and absolutely constitutional and if implemented would benefit Munawar sahib's party, if it believes in fair and transparent elections.
Dr Qadri is leading the change, not preventing it. Get your facts straight, Munawar.

They are trying to inform that JI too should be taken seriously ala other political parties and that if wins some seats, it is ready to suck up to Washington's whims and fancies. Good to see at least someone has spoken about LoC violations by India.
All we need is more mullah in Pakistan. Let us import some more. But when it comes to power none of them gets along with the others.
