KARACHI:

PAF had to bear the cost of losing their third place in the Pakistan Premier Football League due to their walkovers, according to their coach Muhammad Arshad, as they concluded the league in fourth with 53 points after 30 matches.

PAF is not the only team which skipped its matches in Chaman — Navy, Wapda and Wohaib FC also refused to play over there.

“We don’t want the league on a home-and-away basis since it can’t work in Pakistan,” Arshad told The Express Tribune. “There are so many places that teams from the forces can’t travel to. We could have the venue in the most remote area where no other team can come. That way we can win the league, but that would not be fair.”
