Sohrab Goth attack: No arrests, bodies sent for burial

Around 50 people were sitting at the “dera” of a labour contractor when at least six armed men fired at eight people.

KARACHI: The police have been unable to trace any suspects of the targeted attack in Sohrab Goth that left five men dead and three injured.

Around 50 people were sitting at the “dera” of a labour contractor, Hassan Khan, when at least six armed men fired at eight people after identifying their faces by torchlight, the police said.

Victims, Muhammadullah Khan, 45, Ajaib Khan, 55, Fareed Khan, 40, Zahir Shah, 45, and Usman, 46, were killed and three more, Naeem Khan, Javed Khan and Saeed were wounded in the attack. The police have registered a case (FIR No. 24/13) against unidentified suspects on the complaint of their colleague, Ali Rehman. The bodies of the victims, all relatives of each other, were sent to Mohmand Agency.
