KARACHI:

Navy climbed three places to 7th in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) as Afghan FC skipped their match in Karachi yesterday. With the walk-over, Navy now have 36 points after 29 matches in the league, while Afghan FC slumped to ninth place with 35 points.

According to the Afghan FC officials, the team would not play their remaining matches in Karachi due to the expenses, stating that they preferred to settle with a lower ranking in the league this season. “We have only one more match to go, and we will most probably finish in the 10th or 11th position, therefore we have chosen to skip the matches,” the official told The Express Tribune.
