The Punjab government has filed an FIR against the company as well.
The petitioner of the media accountability commission and anchorperson Hamid Mir has said that his employers were not exerting any pressure on him nor does he bow to any such pressures.
Talking to Express News, he said that Midas Pvt Ltd had threatened him and now they should be prepared to face the reply which will be “hard”.
Absar Alam said that the opponents casted many blames and allegations on him and Mir. “We were made targets of character assassination,” he claimed.
Talking to Express News, reporter Asad Kharal said, “We have raised the issue of heavy funding to some journalists from secret funds so that the people are not misled by companies like Midas Pvt Ltd.
“The Punjab government has filed an FIR against the company as well. Because this agency is doing business with federal and provincial governments and has embezzled over Rs1 billion, the court will look into these matters thoroughly.”

@Jibran: Thanks! Certain media groups had committed to conduct voice analysis and go public. But instead their was total silence. So can the media be considered clean and impartial? There has never been any follow up on the FIR. I do believe there is another FIR pertaining to this person in Balochistan.
Hamid Mir thrives on controversies which is mostly doctored by himself or based on his involvement for whatever reason.
Jibran is right, what happened to Khalid Khwaja murder case, it's important that the whole truth comes out and we know what role Mir played in it. This would also help us understand clearly the nature of Mr. Hamid Mir's relationship with terrorists of all sorts from the Heads of Al-Qaeda down to the level of the rooky of that (un)known branch of TTP who he gave instruction to murder Khalid Khwaja and the whole conversation got leaked and shocked most of the people. I suspect that due to Mir's connections and support of his powerful colleagues this issue never got investigated as seriously as it is and reason demands.
Hamid Mir always blames others for hurling threats to him. Why doesn't he mend his dubious ways? He should realize that people do have fair idea of his self motivated nefarious activities.
