Welfare Activities: Sweet Homes to launch facility for girls

Khan states that PBM has provided shelter, food and educational facilities to over 3,000 children across the country.

After successful launch of its Sweet Homes project for boys, the Pakistan Baitul Mal (PBM) will replicate the initiative for girls in different parts of the country.


This was stated by the PBM Managing Director Zamurrud Khan, while addressing a ceremony held at Modern School System for the mothers and family members of orphans enrolled in the Sweet Homes Abbottabad.

Khan stated the PBM has provided shelter, food and educational facilities to over 3,000 children across the country, with the assistance of different donors including educational institutions.

The children became orphans in the wake of terrorist activities, floods, unrest and earthquakes while the victims of poverty and child labour were also enrolled in the project and provided with the aforementioned facilities.

He added that the Sweet Home Abbottabad has started enrolling the children from Mansehra and the present strength of 100 would be increased to 1,400 during the next few years.
