Municipal shuffling: KMC rearranges department officers

Deputy director Absar Ahmed Khan has been posted as secretary to KMC administrator.

KARACHI:

Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed has authorised the transfers and postings of multiple KMC officers, according to a statement issued on Tuesday.

Deputy director Absar Ahmed Khan transferred from administrator secretariat and has been posted as secretary to KMC administrator whereas deputy director Riaz Ahmed Rashid transferred from medical services department to the deputy director foreign coordination department, assistant director and secretary to KMC administrator Abrar Malik has been posted as assistant director foreign coordination department.

The Raising Karachi Project, including Project Directorate, has also been transferred from the municipal services to the information technology department. The director of inquiries and inspection, Tahir Jameel Durrani, has now been posted as director municipal utility charges in place of Tariq Naseer, who will now report to chief officer secretariat.
