Jatoi was not arrested in Dubai on Monday, despite claims by some Pakistani media outlets, said an official from the Dubai police.
The Sindh police, acting on orders from the Supreme Court, had contacted Interpol and sent two of its high-ranking officials to arrest Jatoi and bring him back to Pakistan for trial.
Talpur in custody
Nawab Siraj Talpur, another one of the prime suspects, has been remanded into police custody for 10 days.
On Monday, Anti-Terrorism Court-III judge Ghulam Mustafa Memon granted the physical remand of Siraj, 22, his 21-year-old brother, Nawab Sajjad Talpur, and their 23-year-old cook, Ghulam Murtaza Lashari, until January 16.

If Dubai Police too fails to arrest the killers, then it can be concluded that Dubai is becoming a safe-heaven for criminals around the world.
@Muhammad: If Pakistanis are Liars..What are you then?
According to my opinion, the alleged murderer is long ago over the hill. There is one country where his wealthy and influential father might buy his son a safe haven. That is India! Our country denies the presence of Dawood Ibrahim and they would deny the presence of this boy, a tit-for-tat response!
The "some media outlets" including the Tribune were making the false claim of his arrest. How much confidence are we, the people, expected to have in the Pakistani media? Check out your sources guys before spreading falsehoods.
After being cornered by CJ, the police are lying through their noses while they help the guilty figure a way out of the mess. CJ should hang them by their short and curlies to force an ounce of honest work from them.
Justice should be served who ever they are and belong too.
The media once again has shown how irresponsible and inaccurate it is. It will never learn it's lesson.
Pakistanis are pathological liars at every level imaginable and yet they think of themselves as superior to others on the basis of faith. Such a nation can never prosper.
Who is circulating these rumours about Shazib's father that he has agreed to some deal to back off from this case? any truth in it?
All reports concerning non-arrest of the prime suspect will go wrong when the prime suspect will be produced in the court of law by the Police.
