RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani on Tuesday emphasised the need for the Army to remain fully prepared to respond to possible threats - direct or indirect, overt or covert.

Kayani made these remarks during a visit to the Sialkot Garrison to witness the conduct of Army's new Mobilisation Exercise.

According to a press release issued by the ISPR, the Mobilisation Exercise was conducted to validate the recent changes in mobilisation system of the Army.

The changes aim at improving the mobilisation time to enable Pakistan Army to put in practice Army’s New Concept of War Fighting, which has already been evolved and validated in the Azm-e-Nau series of war games and exercises in the last four years.

Challenge, dare and conquer are the techniques the Romans, the arabs, the ottomans and the germans used and today the Talibans use in combats. Pakistan military need to master these skills to be able to confront the enemy. Put aside the Montgomery military tactics or those the Eisenhower used in ww2. We are in the 21st century and those who want to defeat and conquer must use speed to avoid massive destruction. Your enemy is knocking on your back door in kashmir an do not once again start the deja vu game.
