MIRANSHAH: A US operated armed drones fired missiles in Mir Ali and Essukhel area of North Waziristan in two sorties early on Tuesday morning killing at least eight people, Express News reported.

According to Express News, the CIA-operated drones first fired at least eight missiles at a compound in Haiderkhel area of Miranshah  killing five people. Four people were also injured in the attack.

Locals are sifting through the rubble to recover the bodies of the dead and rescue the injured.

In a second attack in as many hours, drone attacks killed at least three people.

On Saturday, US drones had fired a volley of missiles at militant hideouts in northwest Pakistan on Sunday, killing at least 12 Taliban fighters near the Afghan border, security officials said.

The missile attack took place in Babar Ghar village in South Waziristan, a tribal district bordering Afghanistan which is a stronghold of Taliban and al Qaeda-linked militants.

Earlier in January, a drone strike had reportedly killed militant commander Mullah Nazir.

And there was euphoria that the US has been defeated and is running away. By the time most of the NATO forces leave the safe havens would not be so safe anymore. They would leave several thousand troops and drones to target the terrorists.

Drones on a roll. God Bless the USA for getting rid of the terrorists. If our politicians or generals had done something about the terrorists there would be no need for drone strikes.

How many terrorists are there and how many drone attacks will it take to finish them all. I think a mathematician or statistician should carry out an analysis. They should also incorporate any foreigners coming in and any new local recruits.Recommend

Hmmm, seems as if the army doctrine has changed indeed. Looks as if they’re telling the Yankees where the baddies are at last…. after all, they were killing and beheading the Pak soldiers like nobody’s business. Looks much more like an equal fight now. Keep going guys, may the force of justice be with you. Recommend

I wish our army would defend our land. No wonder these simple people are angry with our army.

Atleast someone is doing the job which the Pakistan government is supposed to do. Maybe the Pakistan government should pay the Americans to cleanup its own mess.

Drones are saving Pakistan as the military’s old doctrine is in place and new one would take a few years before it is implemented.
