Weak structures: Nine injured as roof collapses

Roof of shop caved in as labourers were trying to remodel it.

KARACHI: Nine people were injured on Saturday when the roof of a shop located in Hudood Lines, within the jurisdiction of the Brigade police station, collapsed. The roof of the shop, which belonged to Abid Hussain, caved in as labourers were trying to remodel it. Nine people, identified as Irfan Saeed, Faisal Jamal, Hussain Akbar, Kamal Anees,  Shahid, Jabbar, Imran, Abdur Razzaq and Jameel were hurt when rubble fell on them. They were rushed to Jinnah hospital where Anees, Hussain’s brother, was said to be in critical condition.
