
The request, filed by the prosecutor, was submitted against the slow progress of the case.
Recently in the murder case, the Pakistan government asked Interpol to issue red warrant for Former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf, who was declared prime suspect in the case.
The official, who is dealing with Benazir Bhutto’s assassination case, had revealed that Musharraf requested Interpol to dismiss the request and treat his case as a matter of “political and military character”.
Benazir was shot dead in Rawalpindi on December 27, 2007 after a Pakistan Peoples Party rally in the city.
