The request, filed by the prosecutor, was submitted against the slow progress of the case.
Recently in the murder case, the Pakistan government asked Interpol to issue red warrant for Former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf, who was declared prime suspect in the case.
The official, who is dealing with Benazir Bhutto’s assassination case, had revealed that Musharraf requested Interpol to dismiss the request and treat his case as a matter of “political and military character”.
Benazir was shot dead in Rawalpindi on December 27, 2007 after a Pakistan Peoples Party rally in the city.

Basic problem of pakistan is lack of education, people do not understand and know the basic democracy. You have to give them modern education. In my opinion Musharraf was right. He said " This nation is not ready for democracy", " What it needs is education". Look at the result of pak kind of democracy in five years. People are talking about the Musharraf era as positive side.
Bilawal was right but anti ppp objected to his remarks against SC. Govt. Has given evidence. Prosecutor has it all but judges of ATC keep using delaying tactics. Either judges have been changed by the judiciary during proceedings of benazir Bhutto case.or judges went on leave..?? Strange.. Isn't it..? Why don't CJ take notice of this high profile case.. B/c some high profile generals and banned Islamic outfits were involved.
@F Khan:
This is not the first time the government has requested it Mr F Khan. Same requests have been repeatedly for Salman Taseer, BB, ZAB and other cases only to get a negative reply i return.
Suddenly 3 months before the election date the government wakes up and asks the courts for the daily hearing of this case.....it is nothing more than a political move to prepare for the barrage of questions expected from ppp and sindhi voters....kabhi amrika, kabhi taliban, kabhi qatil leauge, kabhi mushrraf, kabhi GHQ....ppp ka bhai log decide kar lo who is the qatil. Trust me otherwise your voter will be equally confused at the time of the ballot whom to vote.
While the cases against the PPP govt like Memo, Swiss letter and others start in the SC and go on the fast track the case of brutal murder of BB and many others is crawling in the lowest court? The same way the Killer of Taseer is having a good life for two years with no punishment in sight.Similarly ZAB's case has not been heard in the SC for many months even though the court is bound to answer the questions asked by the President. Yet the hate mongers make PPP responsible for the delay in BB's murder case even though Bilawal in every speech challenges the SC to move and punish the murderers.
