Express News correspondent Rehan Khan said that per documents received from the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA), Shahrukh Sikander Jatoi indicated that he may have fled to the UAE on December 27, 2012.
Shahzeb had allegedly been killed by Shahrukh on December 25.
It was previously believed that Shahrukh, whose name has been included in the exit control list (ECL) may have managed to escape to Australia, where he had been pursuing higher education.
On Friday, the Supreme Court lauded Express News anchor Shahzeb Khan’s show To the point, for tracing out the suspects and covering the incident.
Police too were in action on Friday with at least three known locations of the Jatois in Karachi being raided. In Hyderabad, at least one cement factory after police raided the premises in search of Shahrukh.

I hope that the poors of this city and country along with this deceased rich man also get justice.
Shahzeb we love you a lot, hands up to you.you are in our heart and heart can not be separate from the body and the soul.your brothers are present and we will protest till to our last breath.Brother we are here for you.......Inshallah. And hands up for Suprem court And Also Shahzeb Khan Zada(Express News).Sham on Govt as well as on Police.
If he has fled then his father must be arrested. All property/bank accounts must be seized until his sons return. His father must have provided all the help for fleeing him abroad. This is like jungle law here, only powerful have rights to survive? Supreme Court must take actions otherwise no one will be willing to stay in Pakistan.
Shahrukh jatoi managed to escape to uae look at the establishment a murderer can easily flee this country when all country was in protest he fled doomsday is near cause our laws are different for feudals and rich people and different laws for common and poor people this thing has been indicated 1400 years ago
Tribune and Express TV deserve praise for bringing this crime to the front. Why do all criminals find UAE suitable for safe passage and sanctuary
I remember reading a comment on ET website under the article " For sindh's Feudal Lords Karachi's life becomes cheap" where one commentator had said that he has learnt from somewhere that the killers escaped to Dubai on 26th December. The police has been leading a goose chase to appease the public when they must have also known all along that the killer are gone.
I also can't understand where these guys get passports, visa and ticket from so quickly that they can escape in a flash. Extremely disgusted.
Please Pakistani people say no to this Wadera ka beta culture and eradicate it otherwise tomorrow it will be you son or daughter they will kill and escape to another country.
Just cancel his passport and contact interpool for his arrest
Congrats to Tribune for exposing the ugly face of Karachi police protecting criminals who have been playing with lives of citizens. You can do anything, if you have money to buy police, political patronage, Lafafa yellow journalists and bureaucracy in this unfortunate country
Suspected?
If I'm not wrong shazaib father had problems with DHA Police station junior officers to lodge FIR. Pakistan Govt have no system that is linked with Local courts, FIA,CUSTOMS,NADRA,ASF. In any case if FIR is lodge or even that a person is nominated for any reason linked with someone murder he/she should not leave country.
Still After 60+ years of independence we are still surviving for common justice and entertaining these influential peoples/families...
I suggest (if may heard by higher authorities) Please please You need systems that can track person on his such actives (ATM card draws,CNIC usage, Passport entries in/out, cellphone details, etc.) i believe 50% cases will be solved within 15days of FIR.
Shazaib May Allah Rest Your soul in peace. (This Country never learn until once sacrifice his life.)
@Saleem: It's not not just customs officials who take bribes but also ordinary citizens that offer bribes and who are just as corrupt- this is the problem of all developing countries where there are poor checks and institutional controls. Getting back to this escaped criminal, it will be relatively easy for Pakistani authorities to track him down in the UAE or Australia so I think it is only a matter of time before we see the killer apprehended and brought to justice. He is not safe in Pakistan but he will not be able to hide abroad with so much attention being directed at him.
put his father behind bars and freeze their properties and it will make to stand in front of the court.
What was the FIA doing all the time ????????
UAE government is equally to be blamed, as it protects all such kind of criminals from our country.
Escaping the Ext Control List isn't a problem these days. Remember Reymond Davis ??
No matter, now go away so far
FIA must inform immediately to UAE Government through Diplomatic sources, to arrest the killer.
For UAE Police ,it is not difficult to arrest him, as those Police does not work in SLOW MOTION Like our police. If he realy there, it is just take hours by UAE police to arrest the Killer.
Shahzeb's father is a serving police officer and this the kind of justice that he can extract from our system for his deceased son.
Imagine what me and many more like me (who have no contacts with the right kind of people) would have to go through if God forbid we need justice from the system.
We can only hope for divine justice for ordinary people!
@Saleem: so true - there is no doubt about it. These officials at airport ask so stupid questions to ordinary people that one get baffled but laylow for people who come to airport with safarish or even let people fly out of country with their name on ECL :)
You can actually arrive and leave from major Pakistani International Airports, without showing your passport, and without going to any immigration counter.
Wow, who wrote this? Does anyone go over this before submitting it?
Wow a murderer whose name was put on ECL managed to flee to UAE. I wonder what were FIA officials doing at that time? SC must scrutinize FIA officials for facilitating and providing safe exit to a high profile criminal
And this, my friends, is the amount of justice you or I will get if someone like this murderer (with power) kills us. No one to safeguard our rights EVEN when we're killed. I have high doubts about our law enforcement agencies, the police and the government. What a shame, we live in a jungle where only the powerful have rights.
Catch this murder As soon as possible!
Customs and ASF openly take bribes at Pakistani airports from ordinary people travelling abroad. They and their superiors must have made loads of money in this case.
