Khyber Student Union (KSU) activists of Government Degree College Bara, on Friday, demanded the government to compensate the family of a private school teacher who was killed, along with his cousin, by a stray mortar shell, allegedly fired by security forces. Addressing a press conference at Peshawar Press Club, KSU President Qudratullah Afridi said that Ijaz Afridi, a teacher at Beacon House Model School and his cousin Arshad Afridi both died in the alleged attack. Qudratullah demanded that the government should pay compensation to the families of both men as they were innocent civilians. He said that Ijaz was the sole bread winner of his house and was a committed teacher who was performing his duty despite the law and order situation of Khyber Agency.
