A heavy contingent of police reached the area to find members of the Azad Khel tribe firing at the house, outside which three dead bodies lay. DPO Kohistan Akbar Ahmed Khan verified the number.
Afzal Kohistani was the prime witness in the case where four girls were declared fornicators after they were allegedly caught on videotape singing and dancing together at a wedding ceremony in violation of the “tribal custom of gender segregation”.
He had claimed that the girls had been killed.
Afzal said that the number of people killed was four. He said that three of his brothers and one cousin had been killed while the women inside the house who were reportedly his sisters, sister-in-law and mother, were seriously injured.
The Supreme Court had taken suo motu notice of the case but had ruled in the end that the girls were alive.

If Sc and CJ relies on the statemets of Farzana Bari, then better she should have given one such statement in NRO case, orSwiss Account cases.
The brutal terrorists target and kill more and more innocent people; the SC takes action and was satisfied that there were no killings. The terrorists kill more ANP leaders and some rightwing still make ANP or PPP responsible for the activities of these terrorists? ANP and PPP may not be the ideal secular and democratic parties but in democracy we choose lesser of the evils. We chose relatively secular parties yet they are targeted for not being secular enough? What were the other options, Mush's friends? Till we have better secular parties who could win an election we have to live with ANP/PPP or rightwing alliance.

The order of SC was based on input by Ms Farzana Bari and Co and other human right grupo and KP govt especial ley Mr Iftikhar info minister of KP ....all tried to cover up facts due to threath to their lives....even though Ms Bari tried to retrack her statement on her return to Karachi but her revised her statement was not made públic......

The ATC courts run the terror cases, not SC atleast get the facts right, I get it you guys hate SC but plz get facts right. The main reason for failure of convictions lies with Prosecution i.e govt and if govt feels that ATC courts not doing the job they can always appeal all the way to SC. Yet not a single appeal have been filed by any govt. So fine you hate SC cuz it keep spanking your beloved PPP but atleast get your facts right. Last I checked, PPP, ANP and MQM the liberals and secular parties have been ruling pakistan before them the most secular Musharraf.

Why not, they might be champions of human rights but they are human being themselves right. To save their own lives and skins, this matter could have been covered up. SC has clearly not acted against only one force, who has been terrorizing the whole nation in the name of Islam. Not a single conviction carried out in the last 30 years against these cave men.

I claimed even back then that there is a high probability that the girls have been killed, and that the SC is engaging in a cover-up, much like what it did with the Swat flogging video by falsely declaring it to be orchestrated. Out of sight, out of mind seems to be the modus operandi of the authorities and peoples of this country.
