Mou Signed: TIP to oversee BISP procurements

ISLAMABAD: A memorandum of understanding was signed on Thursday between Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and Transparency International Pakistan (TIP) to further strengthen the programme’s accountability mechanisms. According to the agreement, TIP will provide oversight and expertise for BISP’s procurement processes to ensure integration of international standards and compliance with rules of the Government of Pakistan, said a news release. It will also ensure redressal of grievances and complaints regarding BISP procurement.
