Crime: Two shopkeepers robbed of cash

Police registered separate cases and searching for the culprits.

Two shopkeepers were robbed of cash and valuables by armed men on Wednesday, according to police. In the first incident, Wajid Abbasi lodged a report with the Sadiqabad police that two unknown armed men entered his shop at Chhatri Chowk at around 10pm and snatched Rs25,000 at gun point and fled.


He chased them and saw two persons, Hammad and Furqan Abbasi coming from the opposite direction. He informed them about the incident. They claimed that they saw Hammad Khan, Hasnain Satti and Noman Ejaz running and suspected that they might have been involved in the crime.

In the second incident, Malik Saeed lodged a complaint with the same police that Malik Imran, owner of Altauheed Electronics, along with two persons came to his shop in Sadiqabad Chowk and vandalized items. They snatched Rs1 million from a customer, Mubarak, and hurled threat of life and fled firing gunshots in the air. Police registered separate cases and searching for the culprits.
