KARACHI:

The Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Federation (PBSF) has nominated Mohammad Asif for the President’s Award after the talented cueist won the World Amateur Snooker Championship last month held in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Asif became only the second player from Pakistan to become world champion after Mohammad Yousuf by defeating England’s Gary Wilson 10-8 in a tense final at the IBSF World Championship.

“The PBSF has recommended Asif for the President’s Award this year for his outstanding performance at the IBSF World Snooker Championship, where he won the World title for Pakistan,” a statement from PBSF read.
