A release from the prime minister house said that during the meeting, Justice Iqbal briefed Ashraf on the salient features of the report that had been finalised by the Commission back in October, 2012.
The prime minister appreciated the efforts and hard work of the chairman and his team in the compilation of this report, despite the fact that the Commission submitted its report almost 19 months after it was formed, and 20 months after the infamous raid.
The commission took over a year to compile the 700-page report about the May 2, 2011 incident in which US troops had snuck in to Pakistani territory and proceeded to raid a compound in the garrison town of Abbottabad where al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden was killed.
Law ministry officials had said that the report was finalised in October 2012, but could not be submitted to the prime minister because one of the commission’s members, former inspector general of police Abbas Khan, was undergoing heart treatment in the US and was thus not available.
Excerpts leaked to the press from the yet-to-be-made-public report differed with the US account of the incident. They tell of how Bin Laden advised his family members to pray during the raid. It also detailed the role played by Dr Shakil Afridi in the campaign to hunt the world’s most wanted man.

Who was OBL? +++++++++++++++
OBL will remain an indelible stain on Pakistan's honor. You can knock down buildings, jail the people who helped disclose his location, write reports until you run out of ink - but nothing can disguise the truth - nothing can hide your duplicitous behavior.
Make the report public. The entire world want to know the Pakistani version of facts of Abbottabad happenings.
One more useless classified report,they spent millions of rupees of people of Pakistan but at the end rulers will decide that Pakistani nation is not mature enough to understand and digest this report and masses will never come to know that actually what happened at that night & who is responsible for hiding OBL for so many years and how Americans entered that deep to Pakistan.Good opportunity of making money for TV channels, for politician & their election campaign & for extra clever people to prove that they know every thing & their version or guess is the best & nearest to the report, some of them will claim that report is just rubbish, version they are giving is the most accurate version of everything happened at that night & all political scenario after and before operation.Most of us will b sitting in front of our TVs to hair them & clever anchors & then next morning every Pakistani will b chewing the same gum & will b giving his/her own version and after two days this news will be part of history.
Time to see the movie "Zero Dark Thirty" if you want to see the Abbottabad raid in detail. As for how OBL (and family/friends) was able to live UNDETECTED for all those years in his compound, LOL!
@Raja Parvaiz Ashraf: Are we trying to shield the culprits and protectors of OBL to divert the attention?
Like Humoor Rehman Commission Report this may not see the light of the day. The surrender of East Pakistan was a much bigger debacle but that was all pushed under the rug forever. This episode is only a short trailer of that national calamity and humiliation. Not a single person was ever brought to the court let alone punished. It is going to be another Asghar Khan case with no action against any culprit. They live happily with all their perks.
Um... and, how, exactly, am I supposed to make money out of this?
Free Dr. Shakil Afridi, a hero who saved thousands of lives while helping to eliminate a killer of thousands and a creator of devilish philosophy in the name of Islam. It was and is a greatest blasphemy of peaceful religion of Islam.
Thanks for working so hard for 19 long months and huge expenses. As usual the report would not contain much and would be a whole lot of nothing. Questions to ask are how did OBL mange to establish his safe fort on army base land? How much help he got in his 6 years stay at the base? Why no Pakistani agency discovered his presence? Pakistan claims to provide leads to the US. Why did we not take action ourselves? Why did we show such a surprise and hurt when the US took him out? Who is going to be punished for being incompetent or lifeline for OBL and his family?
