The Pakistani government announced that Ziauddin Yousafzai would become its education attache at the consulate in Birmingham, central England, said the reports.
Malala, 15, is recovering at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, where she was brought from Pakistan on October 15.
Yousafzai will initially undertake the role for three years, but could get a two-year extension.
Malala was shot on her school bus in northwestern Swat in October by Taliban gunmen for the “crime” of promoting girls’ education, but survived the murder attempt.
Malala first rose to prominence aged just 11 with a blog for the BBC Urdu service in 2009 in which she described life in Swat during the bloody rule of the Taliban.

he can work for both westgoverments and Pak at the same time, sitting at the right place! good for him :)
Guys, take it easy. He's been appointed by the Pakistan government. This is not rare. We've heard many times that a politician or a government official visits the wounded and promise to give a government job to one of the victims relatives besides the cash. It did happen about a week ago when Isfandyar Wali visited the injured of Peshawar blast. You guys are only making such a fuss because you are jealous of Malala's and her father's fame! Face it!
She might be replacing Barack Obama for President Office
See what UK feels about it: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2256413/Father-Pakistani-girl-shot-Taliban-inspiring-girls-education-given-diplomatic-role-UK.html
To the people above: read again!
He has been given a job by the PAKISTANI government for evident reasons! In what world does that appear fishy or part of a conspiracy.
lolz !!!! We ain't surprised ! ;)
Why didn't the relatives of more than 40,000 who died in the terrorist activities get a diplomatic role?
does he belong to illumnati?
Anti-authoritarian parenting and progressive education are the Alpha and Omega of every modern society.
Malala Jaan`s father deserve all the compliments of being such a great teacher and loving gardener of his rose.
it smells fishy!
the title should be " malala's father's job made public by the Uk"
I wasn't a believer in conservative lot's conspiracy theories. However this seems now likely that it all was a drama.
so is the merit of this country.... daughter gets shot, you get diplomatic role. If this is the rule then all diplomatic missions should be full of such people because there is no dearth of Pakistanis who have actually lost thier kith and kins in all type of terrorist activities
Good for him, poor guy is probably running out of money just living there taking care of his daughter.
Mission Accompalished!
Certainly, he merits it. Being a father of an intellegent girl like Malala enhances his qualifications.
Malala should be proud of her father.
This is getting absurd now!
Lol..!
I hope Malala wins Nobel Peace Prize and Nobel Literature prize too.
