Shahzeb's murder: Suspect’s uncle claims charges are false
At a press conference held in Sukkur, Subedar Khan Jatoi, the brother of Sikander Ali Jatoi whose son Shahrukh Jatoi is a prime suspect in the case, claimed the allegations against his nephew were false. He maintained Shahrukh did not know either Shahzeb or Nawab Siraj Talpur, the second suspect in the murder.
Elaborating his version of the incident, Subedar Jatoi claimed that on December 24 – the day Shahzeb was murdered – his nephew Shahrukh had been driving back home from a McDonald’s outlet in Karachi’s Seaview locality when he was held up near the Country Club by a quarrel between some people. He said Shahrukh, who according to him had been studying in Australia and was spending a 10-day vacation in Karachi, was attacked by the quarrelers initially but was allowed to leave later.
According to Jatoi, while Shahrukh returned home subsequently, sometime later some other men killed Shahzeb near the locality. He asserted that his nephew and Talpur were nominated in the FIR for ‘no apparent reason’.
Jatoi claimed Shahzeb’s father DSP Aurangzeb was related to Pakistan Peoples Party leader Nabil Gabol. He maintained Shahrukh was implicated in the case on Gabol’s insistence, adding that the latter wished to malign Shahrukh’s father Sikander Jatoi politically. Lashing out at DSP Aurangzeb, he demanded the case be investigated by someone ‘considerably honest’.
He asked the government and judiciary to conduct an inquiry into the matter so that both the victim and the innocent party receive justice.
Suspects capture in Dadu
The Express Tribune has learnt that both Shahrukh and Talpur managed to break through a police cordon and evade capture in Dadu on Saturday.
According to police sources, the police team sent from Karachi to investigate Shahzeb’s murder raided a house in Dadu following a tipoff regarding the suspects’ whereabouts. Despite being surrounded, Shahrukh and Talpur managed to evade capture and fled the area.
Police officials claimed that the suspects had been on alert after the media broke the news.
Meanwhile, Inspector Aslam Khakrani, the officer heading the investigation, has said that the police team is currently chasing the suspects in interior of Sindh and was very close to apprehending them. Beyond this, however, the officer refused to share any details regarding the investigation with the media until Shahrukh and Talpur were arrested.

@Mohummad Omar masood, what are you talking about? I went to school with this kid and he was a good man and I never heard of him hitting a teacher. You don't get deported for hitting a teacher if he even did, that is. You get expelled at the most or sued if the teacher pressed charges. Don't try to make people look bad by making things up.
You know why because Pakistan is the best place to ask for" Justice " as our legal system is well recognized by whole world as Bhutto and his family got Justice and thousands innocents people who has killed by known killers in Karachi and other cities got Justice as well. Shame on pakistan's legal system..

Jatoi's and Talpur's are a feudal families in interior sindh and do have business in Karachi.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out what rubbish this man is talking to defend his brother’s (everyone knows what kind of person Sikandar Jatoi is) son and his nephew. This is the worst cover-up ever. Firstly, Shahrukh Jatoi is no longer studying in Australia, as he was deported from there by the State after beating up one of his teachers there, which is a well-known fact. First, he says Shahrukh doesn’t know Siraj Talpur, then he says they both are innocent, trying to protect both the murderers. You can run, but you can’t hide forever. Shahzeb, these murderers who took your life will get whats coming to them…
I think we as a nation need to stand up and open our eyes...it could be any of us falling prey to these influential brats...we need to make our voice heard and come to the streets...after all how can we just sit n do nothing ....a request for the youth of Pakistan...this is the time to prove yur power @Killing Machine:

He maybe able to vouch for his nephews innocence but why does he vouch for Talpurs innocence at the same time especially since shahrukh and siraj do not know each other. Is there no crime in pakistan of aiding and abetting suspects in crime. The wadera thought that they would teach shahzeb a lesson but these people have so much to learn themselves.
The People pf Pakistan should give an official deadline to handover the murderers. If the deadline passes, then the People of Pakistan will make a Public Arrest and serve justice as seems necessary.
Two protests happened in front of Karachi Press Club on DEC 30th, one was given maximum coverage and exposure while the other one was completely ignored. There was no difference in the circumstances both protests were against injustice but there was just one difference. On one hand were the poor Baloch people who were asking why the media and people were silent on the ongoing operation in Mashkay, Balochistan and on the other hand were the people from "Bridge k us paar". I was there to protest for both Shahzeb and the Baloch people but medias attitude there forced me to rethink my objective. My nationalist friends looked at me straight in the eye and said just one sentence "Are we wrong to demand Independence?"

Dear Rashid,,,what you wrote is bitter and cruel,,,,but stilll the do's of fathers cant be blamed on sons. In this case,,,,one of the party has acted in barbarian style and demonstrated the pharoic behaviour including killing that they have witnessed and have been brought up with. They should be brought to book asap.

Its all very tragic – no parent should have to suffer this agonising experience of losing a grown child to a senseless act of murder!But doesn’t anyone see it is a case of a big fish eating a relatively smaller fish. We live in a jungle and are consistently following the jungle law – in this instance one was the spoilt son of a feudal and the other was the son of DSP of the Sindh police who to the best of my knowledge spent the majority of his service in the city of Karachi. One wonders how he manages to live in posh locality, send his children to expensive educational institutions and gift the son a car out of the salary of a police officer of his rank – in the process how many blessings and curses did he earns. As for the feudal father, his large landholding is not enough to give afford him the influence he yields. He definitely grovels and sucks up to those more powerful than him, that is his way of surviving and empowering himself to throw his weight around the lesser mortals. Its unfortunate for Shahzeb he encountered a more hot-headed and bigger fish and lost his life.
Well if running and evading arrest from the police isn't the mark of an innocent man, I don't know WHAT is.

The fight was over, everyone shook hands and left. 10 minutes later when shahzeb came back to park his car he was stopped by a group of 20. There are alot of witnesses of this scene. Shahrukh was trying to take the pistol from his guard while the guard was resisting. Shahzeb escaped the scene right after. By this time Shahrukh had gotten the gun in his hand. He sat in a silver corolla, fired 3 shots and went after shahzeb. Shahzebs friends were around too and thus they tried to find the two cars. Within the next 2 minutes they heard gun shots and saw the silver corolla leaving the place where shahzebs car flipped over.
Inspector Khakrani and Jakhrani sent to apprehend Jatois and Talpurs ? You must be joking .No wonder they "escaped " .

If that is the case, why is he on the run. And if that is the case, did his teacher in Australia beat himself up as well.
They are just waiting for this reaction to die down and will resurface to start their nefarious activities again. I am sure they must have offered some millions from their ill gotten money to the deceased family to forget the loss of their son. A litmus test for Sindh Government.

He interferes in a random fight, threatens to kills Shehzeb and takes his feudal name but is still not a suspect?! If that's the story then how can the enter neighborhood of Shahzeb say that they witnessed them quelling downstairs int he middle of the night and Shahrukh saying I'm the son of Sikander Ali Jatoi aur mein dekh loon ga? There are many people who bare witness to this man following Shahzed in his Corolla! What are you even talking about?
If he wants to clear his name and prove his innocence, he should come out of hiding and let the judges decide who's to blame and who isn't! Everyone can't hide and talk about their side of the story and expect people to take them seriously!
This is for the judges to decide, not his uncle. They should present themselves to the law enforcing agencies and fight for their case in court. This is the normal way of doing things in civilized world.

Let's just correct the facts here. Shahrukh is a young chap, 17 year old. Very different from most of the feudals here and one of the intelligent bright kid. While i'm not defending his family but the kid is innocent and it is time you people get it in your thick heads.
He is not on the run with talpur. He doesn't even know talpur nor his family. The only reason he is on the run is because he is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in the fir. Why? this is his story:
On the night of the incident , he was going to Mcdonalds seaview. It is currently under renovation and the drive through normally has a long que. Seeing this he decided to go to Kfc 26th street. Now on his way, he saw couple of guys beating a single man. He was unaware of the fact that this 'man' has teased someone's sister. He was also unaware of who he was. He interfered and tried to stop the fight due to which he was thrashed as well despite him calling that his name is Shahrukh Jatoi and he has nothing to do with it. He was only beaten because he called out his name and thinking he is also a feudal coming for another 'friend's' help, the group started beating him too.
Why don't shahzeb's friends come forward and testify that they gathered there to fight. They gathered to beat the servant or whoever but the intention was to fight. Them and Shahzeb's dad later reconciled. However, at this point Shahrukh threatened the group just to scare them and went away. The 'group' apparently went for tea to celebrate their victory or whatever they call these days. Whoever turned up later to shoot wasn't Shahrukh but someone else but he is implicated only because he was the one who threatened. That killer can be talpur, the servant , or the guards.
May Shahzeb's soul rest in peace and my condolences to the family. Sooner or later there will be a legal battle and the truth will be revealed.
Run Shahrukh run. Run till the land ends.

The uncle now wants investigation by an "honest" party. It is the corrupt system that lets these kids think they will get away with murder, based on who they are. By trying to cover for them with illogical statements the uncle has shown how much he respects truth and honesty.
The boys actions are not those of innocent men if they are fleeing and evading capture.
They must be caught and given an exemplary punishment to give out a nationwide message that you cannot treat human life with disdain and get away with it.
Maybe the the next trigger happy feudal son will think twice before targeting innocent people .......

What a load of bull! Shahrukh was not on vacation, but had been deported from Australia for committing assault. Also interesting to note that two people, who apparently don't know each other, are running from the police together. Birds of a feather, I guess. Finally, Mr. Khan Jatoi should be careful. If he is complicit is helping his nephew and his friend run from the authorities, he may very well be guilty of aiding and abetting, and obstruction of justice.
We are a dead nation. Why can't we come out on the streets and create havoc like the Indians did for the poor rape victim. I don't condone violence, but in a lopsided system like Pakistan's where the police favor the powerful, we have to create havoc to get those in power to realize we won't let them get away unless they caught and publicly hanged the killers. I say, let's take to the streets
