Lahore gymkhana: Salman Siddique elected chairman

LAHORE: The Salman Siddique panel won the Lahore Gymkhana Club 2013 election, winning eight seats. Ziaur Rehman panel won four seats. From Siddique’s panel Mian Misbahur Rehman got 1,230 votes,  Salman Siddique got 1,221, Kamran Lashari 1,151  and Mian Parvez Bhandara got 1,081 votes. Agha Imam Ali, Parvez Bashir Agha and Justice (retd)  Sajjad Sipra were also elected from Siddique’s panel. The winning candidates from Ziaur Rehman’s panel were Samiur Rehman, Mian Ziaur Rehman, Shaukat Javed and Sumaira Maroof Khan. Salman Siddique was then elected as chairman of the Committee of Management.
