Unpaid dues: HESCO cuts off 172 connections
Hesco has disconnected electricity to Wasa offices almost a dozen times this year over the same issue.
HYDERABAD:
A dispute over unpaid bills between Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco) and the Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) resulted in Hesco severing electricity to 172 of Wasa offices on Friday. Wasa, a subsidiary of the Hyderabad Development Authority, owes Rs1.73 billion to Hesco in unpaid dues. Hesco has disconnected electricity to Wasa offices almost a dozen times this year over the same issue.
