Domestic crime: Judge seeks police’s comments
Petitioner says her husband has been demanding money from her and abusing her over refusal.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Malik Khizar Hayat Khan sought comments on Friday from the Defence-B station house officer by January 2 on a petition filed by a lady doctor seeking registration of a case against her husband for allegedly stealing her money and valuables. Petitioner Seema Sarfraz, a doctor at the Hameed Latif Hospital, said her husband Syed Sarfraz Hussain had been demanding money from her and abusing her over her refusal. She said that on December 21, he stole Rs40,000, her identity card, her PMDC certificate, passports of her sons and their educational certificates. She said Hussain had threatened her with dire consequences.
