Addressing the students on the behalf of the CM, the Rawalpindi District Coordination Officer Saqib Zafar said that Punjab Government has taken various steps to increase educational facilities and encourage students in their academic endeavours.
He added that the provincial government has established Punjab Educational Endowment Fund with a revolving fund of Rs10 billion through which talented students are awarded scholarships for higher education purely on basis of merit.
He further said that laptop distribution among talented students is also continuation and part of this policy. He expressed the hope that the students would enjoy the visit of Murree and would learn a lot by visiting Resource Centre and Digital Laboratory, Patriata Wheel Chair, Pearl Continent Hotel Bhurban and visits to the Mall and other picnic points of the hill town during their three-day stay.
