OKARA: Despite US reservations, the PPP government has signed a gas pipeline agreement with Iran, which would help overcome energy and gas crisis in the country, says State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Syed Sumsam Ali Shah Bukhari. Speaking to PPP workers and supporters in his constituency in Akhtarabad on Wednesday, the minister said the agreement showed that the government was following a foreign policy, which was in the country’s interest. He claimed that General Pervez Musharraf’s wrong policies had painted a negative image of the country, but now Pakistan was enjoying good ties with all countries of the world. He also declared that the government would resolve the issues being faced by farmers and start programmes for boosting agricultural production.
