ASWJ Karachi chief Farooqi narrowly escaped an assassination attempt on Tuesday when motorcycle-riding attackers ambushed his convoy in Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
Violent mobs in Lasbela, Patel Para and Sher Shah burnt tyres and blocked roads today, disrupting the flow of traffic.
Unidentified armed men in Korangi pelted stones at cars in the area.
Incidents of firing were also reported in different areas of the city.
Public transport remained off the roads while petrol pumps and CNG stations were shut down.

ASWJ and taliban are basically the same. These people are pure terrorists. Don't let them run free in Pakistan. They have already killed thousands of Shia muslims and other minorities in Pakistan. Stop their funding from Saudi Arab.

I remember ASWJ leader warned the government couple of years back that if govt. agencies try to search madaris for terrorists then reaction similar to lal majid operation will be taken by them which caused several suicide attacks through out Pakistan.
Even suicide bombings can be expected during an effort to make ASWJ strike a success.
And they say MQM is solely responsible for insecure chaos in Karachi...!
