Undetermined explosion: Three children injured in blast

JAMURD: Three children were injured when a bomb exploded in the Shah Kas area of Jamrud, Khyber Agency on Tuesday. The bomb had been planted near the gate of a house by unidentified assailants. Line Officer Khandad Afridi said that the low-intensity bomb went off around 12:30am which pulled the gate out of its frame. The children were sleeping in a room near the gate. Owner of the house, Gohar Afridi, said that the children were injured by the impact of the explosion. Hamzaullah, Ziaur Rehman and Waqar were taken to the Hayatabad Medical Complex, where doctors said they were in stable conditions. After the explosion, political administration officials launched a search operation in the area. Till the filing of this report, no suspects had been arrested in the case.
