On the directions of Additional Director, Customs Operation, Junaid Jalil Khan, a team comprising of Customs Intelligence officials and Model Customs Collectorate intercepted five trucks loaded with goods on Motorway (M-1) near Rawalpindi.

The occupants of the trucks opened fire at the team and escaped while taking advantage of darkness.
