Fake pirs: DCO gives three-day deadline

DCO directed the administrators to register cases under Section 420 of Pakistan Panel Code against fake pirs.

LAHORE: District Coordination Officer Noorul Amin Mengal has directed the town administrators to take action against fraudulent pirs (spiritual counsel). In a meeting with assistant commissioners, town administrators and tehsil municipal officers at Town Hall on Monday, Mengal gave three days to seal the business of such people. He said it was the responsibility of the city government to protect the citizens from fraudesters. He directed the administrators to register cases under Section 420 of the Pakistan Panel Code against the men.
