Day of sorrow: Bilour’s death mourned across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa

Funeral prayers also held in Karak for SHO killed in the attack.

People mourned the tragic killing of Awami National Party (ANP) Senior Minister Bashir Bilour in southern districts of the province as well. 

DI Khan

All Pakistan Cleric Association’s (ACPA) DI Khan chapter suspended all its activities till Monday to mourn Bilour’s death. APCA-DI Khan President Fida Hussain Baloch, General Secretary Haji Abdul Rauf among other members condemned the act and showed sympathy with the victims’ families.  They said Bilour’s death was a great loss for Pakistan. The APCA has planned to organise different events to pay tribute to Bilour.

The DI Khan Town Municipal Authority (TMA) has arranged for a Quran khawani Bishi in the city on Monday. The programme will begin at 10am at the TMA offices.

Bannu

ANP’s Bannu President Haji Abdul Samad Khan said that large numbers of ANP and Pakhtun Students Federation workers had gone to Peshawar to offer funeral prayers for Bilour. He said that a Quran khawani and charity programme would be held for the senior minister in Bannu.

Karak

No strike was observed in Karak but large numbers of people gathered at the funeral prayers of the Karak SHO, who was killed in the suicide attack.  He was buried in Shah Salim area.
