Interfaith harmony: JI’s leadership visits Karachi’s churches

The delegation met the bishop of the Church of Pakistan, Sadiq Daniel, and other members of the Christian church.

KARACHI: A delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami’s (JI) minority wing, led by Ameer Muhammad Hussain Mahenti, visited different churches in Karachi and presented bouquets to Christian leaders on Sunday.

The delegation met the bishop of the Church of Pakistan, Sadiq Daniel, and other members of the Christian church. According to Mahenti, JI respects the Christian community as “Islam teaches the lesson of love and affection.”
