Celebrations: Kiran Chaudhry ties the knot!

Kiran Chaudhry, the lead singer from Lahore-based band Club Caramel, tied the knot this weekend with Indian restauranteur Riyaaz Amlani who is based in Bombay.

The mehendi took place this weekend and was a colourful event that lasted way into the late hours of the night.

At the event, family and friends gathered jubilantly to welcome Amlani, his family and relatives from India. Nasir Saeen played the dhol as the evening turned into a night to remember with festivities, dance and music. Local designers, socialites and celebrities were all spotted dancing the night away.

“I have known Kiran for 25 years now and I couldn’t be happier for her,” says designer Hassan Sheheryar Yasin. “I am planning her rukhsati [party] as well and we will definitely send her off in style.”

The wedding took place this weekend and the valima is scheduled to take place in Bombay upon the couple’s return to India.

@AM Khan

"A dream came true for another Indian guy to be in a relationship with a Pakistani girl. Indian males would give everything to be with a Pakistani female."

The last time I checked there was not a lick of difference between Indians and former Indians now called Pakistani. You talk as if Pakistani females are from another planet. For all intents and purposes Pakistanis are Indians but with a new assumed identity.
