KRL beat Afghan FC to stay top

KARACHI:


KRL continued their dominance at the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) with a 2-1 win over Afghan FC 2-1 in Chaman that helped them stay top of the table.


Kamran Ali scored KRL’s first goal while the second goal was scored by the league’s top scorer Kaleemullah, who took his tally to 23. With the win, KRL remained top with 58 points whereas Afghan FC stayed in eighth position.

Meanwhile, PIA moved up to ninth with a 3-0 win over PMC Athletico. Shakir Lashari scored a brace while Zeeshan bagged their third. Despite the loss, PMC Athletico retained 14th place with 20 points after 24 matches.

In the third match of the day, KPT defeated Wohaib FC 2-0 to remain 10th as goals from Mohammad Sarmad and Mohammad Khan helped them take maximum points. Wohaib FC stayed at the bottom of the league with eight points.
