K-P unrest: Over 80 militants attack Mattani post

Frontier Constabulary and police personnel deputed at the Azakhel Dam are fight back.

More than 80 militants attacked a police check post in Mattani, near Peshawar with heavy weapons late on Friday night, Express News reported. Frontier Constabulary and police personnel deputed at the Azakhel Dam are fighting back and heavy fighting was continuing till late Friday night. Express News correspondent Jahangir Shahzad said that police have also lost contact with their police force stationed at the check post. Peshawar police has dispatched a heavy contingent along with armoured personnel carriers. Security forces were trying to surround the militants in a counterattack.
