Christmas gift: ‘Suspended LGH workers reinstated’

Vohra says staff from Grade 1 to 4 will get a conveyance allowance in addition to Rs1,500 risk allowance.

LAHORE: Suspended sanitary workers at the Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) and Lahore General Hospital (LGH) were reinstated on Friday. PGMI Principal Anjum Habib Vohra announced that he had referred a summary to the Health Department recommending the regularisation of 200 contract employees. Vohra made the announcement while addressing a cake cutting ceremony in connection with Christmas held at PGMI on Friday. Vohra said staff from Grade 1 to 4 would get a conveyance allowance in addition to the Rs1,500 risk allowance they were receiving. Vohra also spoke about the significance of Christmas.
