Accident: Woman dies as ‘robbers burn house’
Police say some robbers broke into the house of Kaleem Nizami in Mohalla Qaim Shah.
MUZAFFARGARH:
A 40-year-old woman died on Thursday after she was locked in a room allegedly by robbers, who later set the house on fire. Police said some robbers broke into the house of Kaleem Nizami in Mohalla Qaim Shah. They said his mother, wife and infant daughter were at the house at the time. Police said Shah’s mother saw the robbers and fled. She also took the baby with her. The robbers caught Shah’s wife and locked her in a room. They took away cash, gold jewellery and other valuables. Before they fled, they set some quilts on fire. Shah’s mother called some neighbours for help. Rescue 1122 were called, but by the time they arrived, Shah’s wife had died. Police said they were investigating the matter.
