Football: KPT shock KESC in PPFL

KARACHI:

KPT stunned KESC 1-0 in a Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) match yesterday. KPT scored the winner in the 13th minute through Mohammad Sarmad. KESC are the highest-placed club from Karachi in fifth position.

This was their second consecutive game without a win and their officials have cited the absence of star striker and captain Essa Khan – injured in a recent assault - for their poor run. Meanwhile, HBL registered a 1-0 win over ZTBL in Karachi. Skipper Mohammad Ibrahim scored the only goal of the match in the 32nd minute. With the win, HBL replaced PMC Athletico in 13th position with 21 points and ZTBL slid down to 15th place in the league.
