Polio workers killed: President orders inquiry
President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday strongly condemned the attack on polio field workers in Karachi and Peshawar and directed the chief secretaries of Sindh and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa to conduct an enquiry and submit the reports within 48 hours.
Paying tribute to the services rendered by the polio field teams, the president said they have been instrumental in the eradication of the crippling disease from the country.
He directed all concerned to provide polio teams foolproof security so that they could continue the campaign without any hindrance.

@Wajib: Sometimes people are so dumb they think they're smart. You're a fine example. Yes, I decided to say that instead of addressing your comment. Not because I can't destroy your argument but because people like you base things they say on a foundation of fantasy. You can't change someone's delusional thoughts with facts and debate because they don't require reality to confirm or deny the validity of that delusion. OK ,for a bit if I agree with you , do you have answer , that if it was done by some one else , not Taliban and they put blame on poor talibans , then why not those good Talibans come forward and take responsibility of those health care workers protection not only in Karachi but specially in the areas where they are in majority .
Zardari and his party should quit government because terrorism has reached sky high in their term. Unfortunately for us Pakistanis all the rest of the political parties are just as corrupt and insincere.
When will the people of Pakistan rise and say enough is enough and get rid of the Taliban? Can anyone tell me one positive thing that this group has contributed to in our society? Please don't give me the line that they defeated USSR because these particular idiots did not.

There are two mysteries that I couldn't understand about Pakistan, despite of my frantic googling. First, how come that a leader (Altaf Hussain) living thousands of kms away is able to lead & control his political party(MQM), with such an authority and sway? The second is, why the Mullahs or Taliban oppose polio vaccination, whereas they themselves use the modern medicine, mostly invented by the western world? Google told me that the Mullahs consider polio vaccination is a ploy of the western world to make Muslims infertile or worse impotent. But, I can't digest the answer. Certainly, Talibans know (given the fact that they are tech savvy) that, the whole world has been vaccinated, without any negative impact and declared free of polio menace, except three countries, i.e. Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nigeria. Then, why oppose it? What are the political or military benefits they expect to derive out of it? I don't understand. I think this is something we, non-Muslims don't understand. If anyone can shed light on this mysterious issue, would be appreciated by many.

Karachi is in political transition, the next few months are extremely critical for its future; so! any project which seemingly is against Taliban's ideology should be halt as an attack on it may mess up everything

I mean, seriously! India or any other neighboring nation would have be utterly completely barking mad to want their neighbor to have polio epidemics. By doing so they would only put themselves at risk.
