Senior Provincial Minister Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Rahimdad Khan said that work on 24 power generation projects are underway in the province which will help produce 2,004 megawatts (MW) of electricity and overcome energy crisis.
Addressing a press conference, Khan said the government is working on different hydropower projects to meet emerging demand of electricity of the province.
Secretary Energy and Power Zafar Iqbal said the province will soon have its own oil refinery and a memorandum of understanding was ready for government nod. The project will be completed as a public-private partnership.
