Punjab university: Psychology conference starts today

LAHORE: A conference on ‘Psychology and Challenges of the Modern World’ will open here at the Punjab University on Monday. The two-day International Conference of Applied Psychology will be inaugurated by PU Vice Chancellor Prof Mujahid Kamran at the Faisal Auditorium. The conference is being organised by the PU department of applied psychology. The conference will include lectures, discussions and symposiums. It was preceded by two days of workshops and will be followed by several workshops too. Three workshops were held on Saturday, dealing with assessment and rehabilitation of abused children, healing through hypnosis and therapeutic communication. Four workshops were held on Sunday, focusing on healthy relationships, promoting women leadership, anger management and mental health interventions. The pre-conference workshops ended on the note that everyone should be made aware of psychological and mental health issues. Four post-conference workshops will be held on Wednesday.
