SHABQADAR: The all-parties alliance in Mohmand Agency has rejected the Action in Aid of Civil Power Regulation 2011 and said it is a draconian law introduced by the democratic government. They said the act is in violation of human rights and demanded that the reforms introduced by the incumbent government in the Frontier Crimes Regulation are not sufficient. Speaking at Ghallanai Press Club, leaders of political groups said that the 25 disputed villages in Charsadda District should be remerged with Mohmand. A jirga convened with political representatives of all parties will meet the governor to decide the matter. Naveed Mohmand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s youth wing and chairman of the alliance said the Political Parties Act, which was extended to the tribal belt, has yet to be implemented by the political administration.
