Islamabadis were treated to some rock music at an event held to observe World AIDS Day at Lok Virsa on Saturday.

Emerging singer Uzair Jaswal, along with his fellow goodwill ambassadors of the Schools4Life initiative, Almadar Khan, Muneeb Arshad and Abdur Rahim, enthralled audience at the event that was aimed at creating awareness about Human Immunodeficiency Virus infection / Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (HIV/AIDS) and to end taboos surrounding the disease.

The concert was organised by Rutgers WPF Pakistan and Bedari, both non-profit organisations, under their Schools4Life program. A number of activities were also planned for the audience to give them the underlying message that they have to take responsibility of creating awareness and changing perceptions about the disease.

The Schools4Life campaign is being carried out in collaboration with Dance4Life International to mobilise the youth in order to bring about the desired change in their communities and to train them to become leaders.
