Tyno Deaths: Investigation to be completed by 17th

The judge fixed December 20 for arguments on the pre-arrest bail of the owner of Recko Pharmaceutical Company.

LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Anjum Raza on Friday directed the Investigation Officer (IO) to complete the investigation of the case against three men accused of selling defunct Tyno cough syrup which claimed the lives of 19 people by December 17. The judge fixed December 20 for arguments on the pre-arrest bail of Khalid Saleem, the owner of Recko Pharmaceutical Company. The IO sought adjournment to complete the investigation on Friday. The judge accepted his plea and directed him to complete the investigation by December 17. Petitioner Fida Hussain, owner of Bismillah Medical Store, Muhammad Rizwan, owner of Ali Medical Store, and Abdur Raoof, a distributor, filed post-arrest bails contending their innocence. They submitted that they were implicated in a false case.
