Marriage dissent: ‘Rickshaw driver kills daughter’

MULTAN: A rickshaw driver on Thursday allegedlly killed his daughter for eloping with a man. Police said Shahnaz, 19, the daughter of Ramazan, a resident of Lodhi Colony, Gulgasht, was a divorcee. A few days ago, she eloped with a man. Her father and relatives brought her back with the promise that she would be married to the man of her choice at a proper ceremony. She came back. On Thursday, Ramazan killed her with a knife and fled. Police have sent the body to Nishtar Hospital.
