Cabinet approves 4 more seats for minorities in National Assembly

At present, a total of 10 seats in the National Assembly are reserved for minorities.

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Cabinet on Wednesday approved increasing the number of seats allocated to minorities in the National Assembly, Express News reported.

Minority representatives will now be given four more seats in the assembly.

At present, a total of 10 seats in the National Assembly are reserved for minorities.

Earlier, Minister Incharge for National Harmony Dr Paul Bhatti had sought more seats for minorities in the Senate, National and Provincial Assemblies, citing an increase in the national population.

How about a reserved seat for khawaja sara? That will make things interesting.
