Asi vacancies: 400 declared ineligible

FAISALABAD: Four hundred traffic wardens and telecommunication and patrolling employees who had cleared the written exams for appointment as ASIs in the district have been declared ineligible for consideration. The district police had announced that would recruit 172 ASIs through the Punjab Public Service Commission. On September 2, 1,635 candidates appeared in the written exam. Of them, 865 passed the exam and were interviewed in Lahore. Meanwhile, Faisalabad Elite Force official Ali Imran submitted a petition in the Lahore High Court, arguing that only district police employees were eligible to the post.
